Lake Idro
Lake Idro or Eridio is a lake of glacial origin in the province of Brescia site on the border with Trentino .
Located 368 meters above sea level is formed by the waters of Churches who is also the emissary .
Its area is about 11 square kilometers and reaches a maximum depth of 122 meters.
On its banks there are the villages of the municipalities of Idro, Anfo and Bagolino .
Being the smallest of the three lakes in the province of Brescia maintains the peace and tranquility needed for a relaxing holiday. Thanks to the constant winds and the low wave is the ideal environment for the practice of water sports such as canoeing , sailing, windsurfing.
Ideal for fishing and swimming in its cool waters . From the beaches many trails leave directly for the ascent to the surrounding mountains , dense forests, characterized by the presence of essences and rare flowers .
The Valle Sabbia
The Sabbia Valley from geographical point of view essentially means the territory that goes from the close of Tormini up to the valleys of Trentino , north of Lake Idro .
By morainic hills of Lake Garda salt along the river churches , encountering numerous quaint villages .
The environment is extremely diverse offering at the sight of the visitor , revealing the changing aspects of the countryside along the river valleys and in the side .
To the right and left, follow the mountains from one side to the other and Valtrompia to the area of the upper Garda . As you head north , the peaks are more rugged and mountainous landscape more , until the Horns Blacca overlooking the villages of the perches and Lake Idro , which closes the valley towards the Trentino .
At the end of Lake Idro , on the left, the Caffaro Valley with the village of Bagolino , rich in history and tradition, which at the height of the Cornone Blumone , with its 2830m . , Is the highest mountain Valsabbia .
The area of the Sabbia Valley has been affected by human settlements in ancient times .
Before the Rhaetian people who have left signs of their presence on the hill of Castel Antic in Idro .

The complex historical events that have affected the Valley have left deep marks in the artistic and cultural heritage and have contributed , however, to maintain the charm of the natural environment that characterize it: fauna, flora , meadows , woods , rocks , water .
The Province of Brescia
The Province of Brescia , the largest of Lombardy (about 1,250,000 inhabitants) , boasts three lakes most numerous mountain lakes, three valleys plus other smaller valleys , the plains and the hills.
The province includes:
• almost all Valcamonica , crossed by the river Oglio upstream of Lake Iseo ( Sebino ) , and the eastern shore of the lake ;
• the Valtrompia , with the river Mella ;
• Sand Valley , crossed by the river churches to Lake Idro ( Eridio ) ;
• much of the western shore and the southern Lake Garda ( Benaco) ;
• the foothills between Lake Garda and Iseo and the hilly areas of Franciacorta and part of the morainic hills of Lake Garda ;
• a large area of flat land mostly between the Oglio and the Churches called Lower Brescia .
Thanks to the variety altitudinal and morphological , as well as the presence of large lakes , the Province of Brescia includes all types of biomes of Europe: from something similar to the Mediterranean to the eternal snows of the Adamello ( with the largest glacier in the Italian Alps ) .
The capital city of the province , Brescia, known as the " Lioness of Italy " , is a city of about 200,000 inhabitants, preserves many historical and artistic treasures of the past.
